What does it mean to be at peace in our body

  • It means that we no longer believe that our bodies are broken but see every symptom or undesirable compulsion as a helpful and informative message from our mind-body system

  • It means that we care far less about the opinions of others because we are so tuned in to our own values and inner compass

  • It means that we eat when we are physiologically hungry instead of by the clock, by the mere presence of food or by the rules of an external source

  • It means that we bravely let ourselves experience the full range of human emotions including the painful ones

  • It means that we trust and empower ourselves to seek answers from within to anything and everything standing in our way

  • It means that we give ourselves permission to make choices that feel right to us even when they go against the ideas of everyone else we care about

  • It means that we prioritize our self care so there is less of a need to buffer with food, alcohol, drugs, overspending, excessive social media or obsessive behaviours

  • It means that we make changes to improve our physical bodies from a place of self love and compassion rather than fear, self-criticism and judgement

  • It means that we experience true joy and gratitude despite the inevitable adversity we face and begin to live in a way that honours the gift of being alive

  • You are seeking support from someone who has experience with this struggle and can relate to how it feels

FAQ

  • What will I learn to finally solve my issues with food, eating and my body?

This course addresses the reasons why you have difficulty staying committed to whichever way of eating feels best and results in healthy fat loss for you. There is no silver bullet diet that is the answer to your issues with food, eating and your body. The silver bullet is staying committed and showing up in your own best interest until you get your goals. Reclaim, Renew and Reinvent is all about how to stay committed to yourself.

  • How much time does the course require?

The Reclaim, Renew and Reinvent 12-week course includes content which would require approximately 30 minutes or so per week depending on how deeply you want to go plus invitations to workshops which vary in length and frequency. So, on average, you'll spend less than an hour of your week engaging - longer if you choose to use all of the resources available. The more you commit to yourself, the more profound your results will be. But don't worry - the course work is practical and easy to digest.

  • Where are the before and after photos of fat loss clients?

If it were possible to take photos of the transformation that takes place internally, I would enthusiastically post those. You won't see traditional before and after photos of me or any of my clients though because our work focuses on how our bodies feel and not how they look. There is nothing wrong with choosing to lose excess fat out of love for yourself or feeling proud of the image you see reflected in the mirror, but please know that before/after thinking will not lead you to results that are sustainable, meaningful or deeply transformative. This is a better way.

  • Will I recover the investment for the course?

When you add up the expense of overeating food, expensive diets, treatments or exercise programs, special clothing or equipment, beauty products or cosmetic procedures to address poor body image and surgeries or medications to treat health issues related to excess fat, chronic pain or exhaustion, it is reasonable to say that you will recover your investment in full several times over. This doesn't even begin to factor in the amount of time and energy wasted on actions that don't serve your health in the long run. If you've tried to change your habits without success in the past, chances are good that you didn't have the right education, implementation and support which Humanist Coaching provides. Ask yourself, "What is finally feeling peace and freedom with food, eating and my body worth to me?"
